30th SAG Awards: The Bear, Beef and Oppenheimer Win Big

Plus surprise, but well-deserved, wins for Elizabeth Debicki, Pedro Pascal and Lily Gladstone

Streaming live on Netflix for the first time, the 30th Annual SAG Awards kicked off with its classic opening segment …And I’m An Actor which featured a medley of stars recounting personal stories from their careers, including Ted Lasso‘s Hannah Waddingham and Hijack star Idris Elba, who then took the stage to introduce the night’s first presenter, none other than Meryl Streep, who was reunited with her The Devil Wears Prada co-stars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, who threw some of her own iconic Miranda Priestly quotes back at her.

Other highlights of this year’s SAG Awards include Queer Eye star Tan France’s delightful backstage post-win coverage, and Glen Powell and Issa Rae banter about IMDb’ing each other, a mini-reunion with the 4-time winning ensemble cast of Modern Family as they present this year’s winner of Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, as well as reunions with the casts of nominated films Barbie, American Fiction, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer and The Color Purple as they present their films for Cast in a Motion picture.

Tonight’s recipient of the Life Achievement Award is none other than EGOT Barbra Streisand, honoring her six-decade spanning career in film as a star, director and executive producer.
