How interviews with fellow actors turned into an entertainment & news outlet!
In May 2020, at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, actor and journalist Juan Ayala created his first podcast Actors With Issues, and began interviewing his actor friends and colleagues. Topics ranged from coping with the pandemic, dealing with imposter syndrome and audition anxiety, the many lessons they learned throughout their careers, and sharing words of wisdom and hope for their fellow actors.
As the podcast grew, so did the roster of talent that would be guests on the show, speaking with rising stars and established actors who were working on some of the newest and biggest shows and films around.
Now with over 200 episodes, the podcast has grown into an entertainment news outlet, publishing weekly episodes of our half-hour podcast Actors With Issues, along with bite-sized interviews with creatives from the industry, and sharing exciting announcements, industry news, and reviews for new films, TV shows, and Broadway shows.
In October 2023, their second podcast, Once Upon A Time At The Movies, launched two pilot episodes, each of which centered on a film celebrating a major milestone that month, from 5 to 50 years, with a superfan special guest to discuss the film’s production, legacy and impact. The monthly series will return October 2024.
