30+ year Broadway veteran Angie Schworer joins us on the show this week to talk all about the joyous new musical comedy SOME LIKE IT HOT. Having discovered her love of performing very early on, Angie came to the conclusion that she was “not an ingenue”, but more of a character actress and she went on to become the longest-performing Ula in the smash hit Broadway musical The Producers, as well as the Tony-winning productions of Young Frankenstein, Something Rotten!, and The Prom.
Some Like It Hot marks Angie’s twelfth Broadway production, and she talks with us about working with director Casey Nicholaw on the new production, how the show celebrates diversity, acceptance, and identity, and why actors, young and old, need to stop comparing themselves to others.
Be sure to catch Some Like It Hot, now in performances at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway.
