Felix Wolfe is no stranger to the screen, but his role as Ford in NBC’s twist-filled drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society marks a new chapter in his already storied career. After a string of early bookings on network dramas like Bones, House and The Mentalist, the rising star found himself working regularly on sitcoms and multiple seasons of the Disney Channel series Raven’s Home.
“The serious dramatic stuff was, I feel like, the backbone of my career.” But as his career evolved, so did the tone of his work. “I kind of transitioned into doing more comedy, and I think I craved getting back to those dramatic roots.”
With Grosse Pointe, he got that chance—and more. “I’ve never been part of something so big, with such a powerful role that gave me time to really build out a character and have a full arc,” he said. “Being on set is like having a great cup of coffee—you’re just buzzing.”
Wolfe especially enjoys the show’s nonlinear storytelling. “I really enjoyed the murder mystery aspect. You read these scripts week by week, and you’re just blown away. But then you get to set and watch these brilliant creatives depict it—it’s fascinating.”

The Moment It All Changed: Learning the Craft Early On
Looking back on his early career, Wolfe credits an episode of Bones as a turning point. “I was like 10, and I remember that being a big tonal shift for me,” he recalled. “That was the first time I wasn’t treated like a kid actor, but a young actor. And there is a difference.”
He said that level of respect pushed him to bring more to the table. “I got to see incredible actors who looked at me as an equal. Feeling what that feels like, it’s motivating. You hold yourself to that standard.”
Wolfe also shared fond memories of doing voice work for The Land Before Time and appearing in the Disney Channel series Raven’s Home. “I was technically not a kid anymore—I was 19—but very much a kid at heart,” he said. “Those kids taught me so much, and Raven was wonderful. Getting to make kids laugh week by week? There’s not much more joy than that.”

Advice for Parents of Child Actors: ‘Make Sure the Kid Loves It’
Instead of doling out advice to young actors, Wolfe had a message for their parents. “Make sure the kid likes it. Please make sure the kid likes it,” he said. “Make sure you’re not doing it for you.”
He emphasized the importance of communication, honesty and giving your young child actor a proper support system. “This industry can be a monster if you let it. Don’t let people take advantage of you. Protect your kid.”
Wolfe is deeply grateful for the support he received growing up from his family and colleagues alike. “I had great parents. My mom was in my corner from day one. She never once told me I couldn’t do this.” He smiled, adding, “She’s English—the British are brutal. When she saw me kick a soccer ball, she said, ‘Nope, that’s not for you.’”
Above all, he stressed: “Don’t talk about the money. Don’t bring up the fame. That’s not why you should be in it. Kids should do it because they truly love performing.”
What Fans Can Expect From the Finale
With just a few episodes left in the season, Wolfe is buzzing with anticipation. The series’ most recent episode finally revealed the identity of “Quiche”, the murder victim whose identity was not known to the audience.
“I’m very excited to see what fans think of where this goes because I don’t think it’s at all where people are expecting,” he teased. “Arguably, I think people get distracted by the flashing light that is ‘Who is Quiche?’ But the question of why it happened and how it happened—those are way more insane.”
He praised the show’s creative team for subverting expectations. “They’re not just going to answer the questions. They’re going to answer them in ways you don’t expect. And I think that’s quite fun.”
While he didn’t spoil anything, he hinted that fans should be ready for a ride—and perhaps a setup for a second season. “Where it goes from here is arguably more insane.”

What’s Next: From Teen Titans to Narnia?
Though television has been his home base, Wolfe has his eyes on the big screen. “I would love to break into film in a bigger way,” he said. “I’ve done a couple independents, and those were great, but I’ve yet to do a big movie.”
He’s also not shy about making his dream roles clear, as we asked and he quickly pointed to a mannequin behind him that was decked out in a full Robin costume from the Batman comics. Wolfe also happened to be wearing an Anakin Skywalker t-shirt at the time.
“I know James Gunn cooking up some great stuff at DC and I’m a huge sci-fi and fantasy fan. Spider-Man and Tobey Maguire are the reason I wanted to be an actor in the first place,” he revealed. “And I’m a big fan of Teen Titans. I grew up reading the comics and watching the shows. I think Dick Grayson/Robin would be someone I would have a lot of fun playing.” James Gunn, if you’re listening, give Felix Wolfe a shot!
Felix brought up another industry hitmaker, Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig, “I know she’s working on Narnia for Netflix and that seems like it’d be a blast,” he explained. “Superheroes and fantasy are genres I haven’t even gotten close to tapping into and now there are two creatives that I’m massive fans of who are doing that in their respective lanes. It’d be epic!”
You can see Felix Wolfe on Grosse Pointe Garden Society, Fridays at 8pm ET on NBC, available to stream next-day on Peacock.
