National Geographic’s Emmy® Award-winning anthology series, GENIUS returns February 1st, kicking off Black History Month with “GENIUS: MLK/X”, marking the first time both of the trailblazing activists’ stories have been told simultaneously. The series will explore the formative years, achievements, conflicting philosophies, and personal relationships of two iconic figures in the Civil Rights Movement: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, portrayed by Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre, respectively. Highlighting their contributions as formidable equals, the series also heavily features Coretta Scott King and Betty Shabazz, portrayed by Weruche Opia and Jayme Lawson.
