This bite-sized interview features an interview with film director Jonah Feingold to talk all about his latest film, EXmas. The film centers on Graham (Robbie Amell), a video game designer who planned on skipping Christmas with his family but has a change of heart, only to discover that his ex-fiancee Ali (Leighton Meester) was invited to join in on the festivities in his absence. Jonah talks with us about the parallels with EXmas and his last film At Midnight (streaming now on Paramount+), the challenges of filming a Christmas movie during the summer, and shares some advice for directors who are starting their first project. “Pick a start date and pick to it. Whether or not it’s a big or small crew, show up to your location with your script on that day and be prepared to make something. I think some people are just too afraid to press that ‘record’ button. And tell people you’re making something. People can and will help you. It’s all about manifestation. I start an independent film on Monday. Three months ago that wasn’t there, but now it is.”
